Before you plan to purchase any of OPPO Care Insurance products, please read thoroughly of the terms and conditions outlined in the Agreement. The content of OPPO Care Insurance products has clearly defined your rights and interests. Once purchase is complete, you will be deemed to have understood and accepted the content of this Agreement. The OPPO Care Insurance products herein are provided by OPPO Australia (the "Company").

Article I: Terms and Conditions of OPPO Care Insurance Products


OPPO "Screen Care"

The OPPO Screen Care is valid for one year and can be purchased within 30 days of new handset purchased date. During the term of OPPO Screen Care, in case your handset screen is accidentally broken or cracked, and you have paid the excess fee, the Company will be liable to replace a screen assembly (once-off) of the same type and quality for you.
Details are as follows:

(1) During normal use of the handset, if incidents such as forced pressure, falls, or collides happened and caused a broke or crack on the screen, the Company will be liable and bear the maintenance cost for replacing such screen assembly with that of the same type and quality for you.
(2) If there is other functional damage that is not related to the screen assembly of the handset, the user will bear the relevant cost of repairing the functional damage.
(3) The damaged parts or products after replacement will belong to the Company.
(4) The Screen Care does not include accessories and gifts such as the casing, charger, data cable, and headset.


OPPO "Extended Warranty" *

The Extended warranty only applies to the new handset on its own and is valid for the period of one-year. This service can be purchased within 30 days of the new handset purchased date.
Details are as follows:

(1) The Extended Warranty service is an additional one-year extended warranty period that provide services that are in compliance with the standard OPPO warranty policy. The Extend Warranty service is an In-Warranty service that covers the handset only.
(2) The damaged parts or products after replacement will belong to the Company.
(3) During the term of the Extended Warranty service, the Company will not bear the liability of return.
(4) The Extended Warranty service does not include accessories and gifts such as the casing, charger, data cable, headset and detachable battery.

Article II Content Beyond the Scope of OPPO Warranty Service Products


The Company will not be liable for compensation for losses and expenses caused by the following reasons:

(1) Force majeure like wars, hostile acts, military acts, armed conflicts, strikes, disturbances, riots, terrorist activities, natural disasters (e.g. typhoons, floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunami), nuclear reactions, and nuclear radiation, etc.
(2) The appearance defects of the handset, such as paint loss, scratch, and fading. However, this provision is not applicable to the case in which the handset is also damaged.
(3) The wear and tear, damage, or loss of accessories or consumables (including but not limited to the headset, storage card, charging device, data cable, etc.) which does not affect the basic use of functions on the handset.
(4) Losses caused by wear, corrosion, oxidation, rust, loss, etc. of the mobile phone in normal use or by gradual changes such as dust accumulation, condensation, coldness, and heating.
(5) Loss of stored data or product parts added to the original handset.
(6) The Company will not bear any liability for any indirect or incidental losses caused by accidental damage of the handset including but not limited to personal injury, being unusable, loss of profit, loss of data, loss of failure time, and cost of lost labour.
(7) Damage to the handset caused by intentional acts of the insured, or theft or loss due to improper safekeeping.
(8) Product functional failures due to system and software problems resulting from virus-infected software.
(9) The handset model, IMEI number, etc. are inconsistent with those recorded at the time of purchasing the OPPO Care Insurance product, or are altered, missing, or illegible.

If the user is found to have intentionally damaged the product to achieve the purpose of fraud, the OPPO Care Insurance content corresponding to the product will terminate automatically. In this case, the Company will not refund any expense, while retaining the right to pursue the legal liability of the user.


Article III Other Liability Exemption of OPPO Warranty Service Products


The Company will not be liable for compensation for losses or expenses caused by the following reasons:

(1) Failures in the first year that comply with the provisions of standard OPPO Warranty Policy.
(2) Without any valid proof of purchase.
(3) Beyond the warranty term when the consumer raises the maintenance requirement.
(4) The consumer intentionally and artificially creates a damaging result or deliberately amplifies the occurrence of the damage result.
(5) The consumer knows perfectly well that the way of use and environment might cause damage to the handset but does not take any precautionary measures or believes easily that the damage result can be avoided, which leads to the occurrence of the damage result.
(6) Losses or expenses caused by force majeure, natural disasters, and the intentional acts of any relevant person(s) or any institution or personnel.
(7) The consumer disassembles and assembles the handset or sends it to the non-OPPO authorised repairer for disassembly and repair without permission.
(8) The product-related information recorded in the service management system, such as the product model, product identification, and customer information, is altered and/or inconsistent with that of the actual repaired product.
(9) Personal injuries and property losses caused by the insured commodity to the user or others, and other various indirect losses or expenses.
(10) Other warranty liabilities, expenses, and losses beyond the scope of warranty liabilities corresponding to the sold product.


Article IV Description of Replacement/Return of OPPO Care Insurance Products


The OPPO Care Insurance cannot be withdrawn, revoked, or terminated except for the return under OPPO Warranty Policy. Meanwhile, the OPPO Care Insurance products will be bound to the handset and cannot be transferred in any way.

In case of replacement of the handset under standard warranty policy and precondition of not using the OPPO Care Insurance, the OPPO Care Insurance will be transferred to the replaced handset and this insurance will continue as per original signed-up date.

In case of return of the handset during the standard warranty period and precondition of not using the OPPO Care Insurance, the liabilities of OPPO Care Insurance can be terminated (applicable to the region where the return service is allowed and ignore the provision for the region where the return service is not allowed).


Article V Description of OPPO Care Insurance Claims


When the handset linked to OPPO Care Insurance needs to be repaired, the user is required to present Proof of Purchase during the service. OPPO Service Centre will use the presented documents and the IMEI number of the handset provided by the user to verify whether the user's handset is eligible to claim for OPPO Care Insurance. If the handset is eligible, the applicable repair will be made for the user. Wherein, the user who has purchased the Screen Care can only claim replacement of the accidentally broken or cracked screen once within one year. After such replacement, liabilities of OPPO Care Insurance will terminate automatically, and the user will no longer be entitled to Screen Care insurance any more afterward.
